Do you remember the following  illustration from the topic on the 4 Symbolic Animals?

Picture showing the direction each of the 4 Symbolic Animal faces

The principle of a solid tortise or that the back of the house should form a `protective' barrier behind the house.

Large trees or a row of bushes/shrubs could be planted behind the house. This acts  as a tortise or "barrier" behind the house. Avoid planting large trees in front of the house especially in the middle of the main door  entrance as it blocks good Chi coming into the house. Another alternative is to construct a brick wall behind the house.

Make sure that trees and shrubs has to be regularly trimmed.

...Fabulous Website! Cecil Lee Cecil Lee support@geomancy.net - Feng Shui at Geomancy.Net Hi

I am currently planning to purchase a resale HDB, and chanced upon your website for feng shui advice. I must say, you guys have done a FANTASTIC job! Its comprehensive, not too difficult for a newcomer to understand, and certainly, it did help me in determining the stuff I should look out for when buying a flat!

I am now considering to get the self help, full audit or on-site package.... how would I know which is more suitable for me? - Tan Tuesday, 15 July 2003
